This position is responsible for leading the clinical supply chain agenda and managing all elements of HealthTrust’s relationship with Tenet Health. This position will collaborate with Tenet supply chain and clinical leadership to establish the strategic expense agenda for clinical resource management and the ongoing supply expense plan. Each year, the VP will work with Tenet Supply Chain and Financial leadership to develop an annual supply expense management plan. VP will coordinate and manage effort of service line directors who are primarily responsible for the review and optimization of HealthTrust contracts, implementation of new HealthTrust and Tenet custom contracts, identification of standardization and utilization opportunities, and where applicable, the negotiation of custom contracts. VP will establish a regular reporting cadence to Tenet and GPO leadership to ensure that all elements of the supply expense management plan are being accomplished. In addition to supply expense management, implementation, and account management, VP will be able to establish, execute and manage any consulting or outsourced engagements required to support Tenet’s supply chain operational agenda. This individual is responsible for building strategic relationships and ongoing alliances with corporate and hospital leadership, physicians, and supply chain leaders as it relates to successfully implementing a clinically integrated supply chain.
General Knowledge/Competencies
Extensive knowledge of healthcare and/or Supply Chain/Materials Management.
Provides effective communication which includes verbal, listening, writing, and presentation skills to a variety of stakeholders from executives to staff.
Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, multi-disciplinary, matrix-reporting team as a group leader, facilitator, and/or participant.
Demonstrates a track record of success.
Demonstrates effective problem solving skills, which include understanding issues, ability to simplify and process complex issues, and understanding the difference between critical details and unimportant facts.
Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy, and mission and value statement.
EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree is required. Graduate Degree is highly preferred at the Master’s level, such as MSN, MHA, MS, Pharmacy, or Pharm D.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 15 years of hospital management experience in either an administrative, financial, or supply chain/materials management leadership capacity.
Multi-facility or system leadership experience highly preferred. Demonstrated, successful project management experience with coordination and measurement of project deliverables. Advance computer skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Software skills with data warehouse and/or Micro Strategies highly preferred.
