We are seeking a test engineer or tech to support the engineering testing for the Intuitive flexible robotic product platform. As part of the Instruments and Accessories New Product Development team, the individual will work with team members to:

• develop and assemble mechanical / electromechanical test fixtures
• develop and perform engineering testing of prototypes
• investigate and brainstorm root causes to observed failures
• analyze data and summarize results in simple reports to present to team members

Skill/Job Requirements:

• BS in science or engineering field. Mechanical engineering preferred. Will also consider candidates actively working towards a BS degree.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical components and physical testing (minimal examples: instron pull tester, force gauges, calipers/snap gauges, visual inspection, microscopes, leak testing. Experience with more complex test setups strongly preferred)
• Experience using SolidWorks/CAD strongly preferred
• Willing to perform repetitive testing as needed to meet assignment objectives
• Data analysis knowledge and experience preferred
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Possesses attention to detail but can keep the big picture in mind with respect to the purpose of assigned job tasks

Pay rate will be determined based on experience/education. Part time candidates will be considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
