This position serves as a valued Finance partner for the Commercial organization, responsible for providing analysis and recommendations to support business decisions and strategy building across customers and sales channel(s). This role will complete and present complex analysis, interpret financial data, and translate analytics and insights into actions. This role requires a strong cross functional partnership focus and will support a variety of business unit contacts as well as the finance department. Additional responsibilities may include month end close, managing customer and channel financials, balance sheet expense management, forecasting, and strategic planning.

  • Lead monthly Trade, Placement, and other allowance forecasts, including explanation of key drivers, risks, and opportunities for assigned sales channel(s).
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to understand risks and opportunities between Sales projections, targets, and internal P&Ls.
  • Lead financial analysis involving customer portfolios and make recommendations on the financial viability of incremental opportunities.
  • Lead design and distribution of standardized reporting for Trade, Placement, Field Marketing, and relevant SG&A expenses for assigned sales channel(s).
  • Analyze and prepare month-end close entries for relevant P&L and balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy of Trade balance sheet positions through partnership and regular reviews with Sales, Customer Claims, and Revenue Management.
  • Provide strategic insights, analysis and recommendations relating to current & future business performance & strategies.
  • Partner with IT to drive system enhancements and focus on continuous improvements that will impact overall business processes.
  • Model teamwork and partnership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity.

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience. Prefer experience with Sales and/or Marketing cross functional partnership.
  • Experience in P&L management, complex data analytics, and working across groups to complete a project or resolve a challenge.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and analytical concepts.
  • Skills - Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business partners, internal customers, and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to translate analytics into meaningful insights and strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with experience using complex functions and pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EPM and/or Tableau.
