The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Assistance Vice President of Global Treaty Affiliate Operations and interact with various colleagues globally in 50+ countries supporting the Chubb Overseas General segment. The Senior Financial Analyst will provide support in the management of $4 billion in revenue of internal reinsurance operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our international colleagues to coordinate internal reinsurance settlements, booking of affiliated reinsurance transactions, and maintaining the reconciliation of our 50+ affiliated countries’ subledgers across Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regions.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings requiring booking of PeopleSoft journal entries, preparation of financial reporting packages, reconciliation of cash activity, and intercompany transactions.
- Utilization of COGNOS to run queries and analyze reinsurance activity globally to expected forecast versus actuals and contract renewals terms
- Serves key role in preparing global intercompany detail reviews and findings for Global Treaty’s 3 business units.
- Demonstrate the initiative to learn software application (i.e. Alteryx, SAPIENS, Blackline)
- Provide accounting support for various ad hoc requests when required
- Capable of developing process improvements to enhance reporting and analytical capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- MS Office experience, including Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word.
