Job Designation:
The Quality Inspector 2 is responsible for inspecting a range of components, parts, and/or products within the assigned area as per all relevant specifications and quality assurance instructions.
Job Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
- Gather statistical data from products and processes.
- Perform visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
- Conduct visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards and harness assemblies.
- Prepare and complete all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
- Identify design, process, or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns and issues.
- Perform routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies, and tooling.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Interpret technical drawings with multiple views.
- Locate and utilize correct part, assembly, and material specifications or drawings.
- Use tolerances and dimensions to required accuracy and precision.
- Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulations.
- File both hard copy and electronic records.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.
Job Specifications:
- Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
- Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience (preferably in Aerospace and Electronics environments).
