Quality Inspector

JOB SUMMARY: This position has the responsibility of ensuring that product manufactured on their assigned shift is defect free.

REPORTS TO: Plant Quality Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Responsible for overseeing the review and audit of product manufactured on assigned shift per customer supplied specifications and quality control plan.

· Ensure policies and procedures of company QMS program are consistently met.

· Assist in the maintenance and control of mold books.

· Responsible for production start-up approval and document sign off.

· Routine auditing of product during run and final inspection of product before leaving the facility.

· Help to train and assist operators as needed.

· Safety and housekeeping.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Diploma or 3 years in manufacturing experience.

· Experience of 1 or more years in manufacturing required.

· Knowledge of plastic part quality, injection molding and computer system a plus.

· Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

PHYSICAL:

· Must pass physician administered vision test.

· Frequent long periods of walking and standing.

· Frequent bending and stooping.

· Lifting and carrying average to heavy weight (2-40 lbs) materials or objects.

· Occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects.

· Hand/finger dexterity and coordination.
