Country Club of Detroit is looking for a Personal Trainer for our Fitness Center to perform a variety of customized fitness programs to our members while educating and guiding them on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and attaining a healthier lifestyle. Essential Job Duties:

  • Punctual and prepared for all appointments with clients
  • Ability to motivate others to improve their overall fitness and health
  • Desire to help clients reach their health and fitness goals through proper cardiovascular, flexibility and resistance exercise
  • Knowledge of anatomy, functional exercise, basic nutrition, and basic exercise science
  • Ability to design exercise programs tailored to the needs of specific clients/goals
  • Ability to demonstrate and teach exercises while providing feedback on technique
  • Ability to execute individual fitness program design in a safe and effective manner
  • Remains current on certifications and new trends in the industry'
  • Demonstrating correct use of all weight and cardiovascular equipment
  • Establishing and retaining personal training clientele
  • Conducting client consultations and providing exercise and nutritional recommendations
  • Maintaining a positive attitude when working with members
  • Dressing professionally and adhering to current dress code standards
  • Willingness to uphold Company protocol and policies

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1-year personal training experience, preferred
  • CPR Certification, required
  • Personal Trainer Certification, required

Working Conditions:

  • Gym Facility = Indoor
  • Potential exposure to loud noise
  • Essential physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, twisting
  • Active position:
    • Standing/Moving = 70% of time
    • Sitting = 20% of time
    • Bending/Twisting/Kneeling = 10% of time
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule, preferred
  • Mornings and/or afternoon availability, preferred
  • Weekends work, encouraged
  • Ability to work with all varying aged individuals
