A-Team Strength is seeking a part time personal trainer/strength coach who is willing to learn and adapt to the systems and methods already in practice at a successful small group personal training studio. The position would begin as a paid internship, during which you would be mentored and taught the programming, coaching, and communication methods that our clients have become accustomed to and found results with. The internship period would last approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on your development. After that you would be brought on as an assistant coach to help run sessions in tandem with myself, as well as lead your own sessions independently.
A-Team Strength is a private personal training gym based in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. We recently switched from 1-on-1 training to a small group format, allowing us to train up to 4 clients at once. Our training programs primarily revolve around a powerlifting style base of strength training, although we do employ various methods and types of training depending on the individual clients goals and needs. Familiarity with barbell training is highly preferred for all applicants.
Experience as a personal trainer is preferred, but not required. An extroverted personality and interpersonal skills are highly valued. Proximity to the location of the gym is also preferred, as the hours may be early in the morning and late in the evening depending on the day. This position is most suitable for recent college graduates or newly certified personal trainers.
This is a part time position, although the potential for more hours increases as we grow the business together and add to our client base over time.
