Engineer Position

The ability to envision, design, and manufacture advanced farm tillage tools to exacting quality standards, always on the leading edge of meeting advanced grower needs, but also takes know-how and hard work, and it is imperative to be able to have and use commonsense. For openers, you have to know farming from the ground up – and we do.

Then it takes passion, strategic thinking, innovation, dedication and the ability to design, manufacture, deliver and stand behind the highest quality, advanced ad tillage tools in the market, day after day, month after month, year after year.

Wilcox Agri-Products is looking for an engineer who has or is capable of assisting manufacturing production advances apart in solutions to make the plant more efficient, as well as who is adept of eventually taking over and leading the engineering department. We are looking for a diversified individual who has the ability to be hands on in the field, who can manage efficiently between multiple projects, and communicate well with peers and our growers.

A successful candidate will be able to display:

• A background in agriculture or quickly familiarize themselves with farm tillage technics as well as goals and solutions technology.
• Ability to work on a wide range of disciplines within engineering in a fast paced environment.
• R & D of agriculture machinery components and equipment using computer-aided design (CAD) technology.
• Ability to upgrade current line of products for continued improvement.
• Coordinate with manufacturing design implementation.
• Developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
• Drafting, Laying Out, and Specifying Technical Devices, Parts, and Equipment – Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
• Discuss plans with clients, contractors, consultants, and other engineers so that they can be evaluated and necessary upgrades made.
• Meet with clients such as farmers to discuss their needs in a sales environment.
• Capable of field exposure.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:
