Verato is seeking to hire a leader to manage product enablement and UX writing for its Sofware-as-a-Service business, specifically focusing on creating product and API documentation for internal and external audiences. This is a new opportunity to establish a framework for future team growth. As a Lead Technical Writer, you will have a direct impact on our internal processes and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead UX writing programs and initiatives, owning content creation and establishing standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Lead content creation for customer and employee enablement collaborating cross-functionally. Content includes documentation, videos, graphics etc.
  • Own CMS operations for the knowledge center
  • Manage and mentor a team of content creators and product enablement owners.
  • Work very closely with UX design team to build creative content. Be mentor to them.
  • Work closely with engineering and product management teams to understand product capabilities and document functionality, usage, and limitations
  • Produce high-quality, easily consumable, customer-focused online content, including documentation, knowledge base articles, and tutorials
  • Create UI and API documentation
  • Organize documentation, making it easy to find and maintain
  • Provide estimates for resource and project planning purposes for documentation tasks
  • Collaborate with product management and customer experience teams to prioritize documentation needs and manage documentation releases/updates on schedule
  • Identify product documentation gaps and propose plans to close those gaps
Requirements:
  • 7+ years' experience documenting enterprise software applications for end-users and developers
  • Experience in both organizing and creating documentation
  • Experience creating documentation and content for SaaS software products
  • Proven writer and editor of high-quality, detailed, easy-to-understand documentation
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment, ideally within agile scrum framework
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Experience with healthcare software applications preferred
