As a Landscape Architect, you can leverage your knowledge and become an integral part of our Planning Department team
Job Responsibilities
- Research Planning and Zoning related matters for team members and clients.
- Explains planning and zoning problems and procedures to clients and the public.
- Acts as a technical advisor to civil design engineers regarding subdivision and site plan layouts.
- Prepares graphs, tables, maps, design guidelines, visual displays, and other high-quality visuals.
- Utilizes creative skills, collaboration and outstanding of technical skills to design outstanding neighborhoods, office parks, industrial parks and commercial centers.
- Assists the Director of Planning with preparation of design guidelines, ordinance and comprehensive plan amendments and other planning related documents.
- Assist the Director of Planning at community meetings.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Director of Planning.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of planning and zoning.
- Knowledge of State Code and other laws and regulations related to Planning.
- Ability to express ideas orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff and clients.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office, ARC GIS, CAD, and graphic design tools.

Education / Experience
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, landscape design, civil engineering, planning, or related field. Experience in professional planning, civil engineering, and landscape design is desired.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
