ABOUT THE ROLE
Vertex’s Human Resource Rotational Development Program (HRDP) is an 18–24-month Human Resource program consisting of three, 7-9-month rotations within the HR functions to develop HR expertise and enhance business acumen to develop Vertex’s future leaders of HR. This program provides exposure and learning opportunities tailored to your career goals across several different functions; such as HR Operations, Compensation, Benefits, ID&E, Talent Acquisition or Talent Management. Throughout the program you’ll have the opportunity to learn about our core processes and technologies and collaborate with Human Resource experts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Within our Human Resources Development Program at Vertex, you will:
- Work on meaningful projects that provide value to the HR teams and across the business
- Participate in enterprise-wide HR initiatives that support our organizational goals and long-term vision
- Discover where your passions lie within HR to help determine the next steps of your career
- Collaborate with cross functional teams of experienced professionals who will help guide you
- Discover your own strengths and to build a strong foundation for your current and future roles
You will have an opportunity to support and drive key activities within an HR Function. Examples may include:
- Participate in key initiatives that support the global HR organization to enhance HR Service Delivery through Process Excellence, Vendor Management & HR Technology
- Be an active voice and key contributor in supporting Vertex’s diversity & inclusion goals
- Help shape and guide robust talent management strategies that can deliver and align to specific business objectives
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree (or degree in process) in Human Resources
- 0-2 years of experience
- Ability to work within a global business environment and team
- Demonstrate strong ability of analysis, problem solving, initiative and communication
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cultures and management levels
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Quickly adaptable to new technologies
- Desire to continuously learn, take on more complex assignments, and advance a career within Human Resources
