Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Director to oversee human resources operations for our Largest manufacturing plant in Horse Cave, KY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies to support business objectives.
This position leads a team of 6 teammates who directly support Operations leaders, including Sr. Directors and Directors. They assess and anticipate people and organization related needs. Communicating needs proactively with the HR department and business leaders, they seek to develop integrated solutions and formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and team members that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Business Partner: Understand and anticipate business priorities and contributes to the development of the business strategy.
- Understand business context, issues, and challenges to provide coaching to leaders
- Use business knowledge to provide effective People solutions that align with business goals
- Ensures execution individual plant people strategy’s
- Partner with the leadership team to understand key performance issues, objectives, and drivers and converts those needs into people management solutions
- Spends time on the operating floor to understand the needs of the business and individuals within the team
Change Champion: Embrace change and understand strategies to address and reduce resistance
- Challenge the status quo, champion initiatives and act as a catalyst for change that drives continuous improvement in business performance
- Partners with Sr. HR Director and SCLT to implement organizational and cultural change
- Coach leaders on leading change, engaging team members and effectively building capabilities
- Support delivery of the people strategy within the business and drive business results through implementation of organizational change.
Talent Manager and Organizational Designer: Select, retain and develop the right talent and capabilities
- Develop and implement proactive and innovative talent management solutions to deliver business results
- Understand and analyze organizational capabilities to proactively develop and implement organizational design and structure improvements to support delivery of the business strategy
- Coach, challenge and support managers in their role on people development and organizational related processes
Operational Support: Implementation of plant and Supply Chain initiatives.
- Support roll out of HR solutions to the business unit, acting as a champion, engaging stakeholders, challenging and coaching leaders to gain buy-in
- Develop tools in collaboration with Communities of Excellence to maximize opportunities for economies of scale, consistency and shared learning
- Guide and support leaders on performance management, including interim coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary guidance
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Advise and coach Leaders of others on compensation program, including annual merit and compensation processes
Qualifications:
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of HR management experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous HR experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment. Union and non-union experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, with experience managing unionized workforces preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and develop a high performing team.

Working Conditions/Environment:

Works in a normal office environment where the associate is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility. The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has two (6) direct reports. Three (3) HR Generalists, (2) HR Coordinators and (1) Training Manager
