J. Barker Landscaping Company is a premier, award winning landscape design/build, management and snow removal company that has been beautifying the Northeast Ohio landscape since 1974. Our team is committed to provide the highest standards of service in horticultural installation, creative custom design, craftsmanship and functional construction for residential and commercial clients. We are centrally located in Bedford, OH, allowing us to provide service to multiple counties in the Cleveland area.

We are seeking career minded, motivated individuals with the desire to advance within a landscape and hardscape installation profession. Experience must include hands on construction and Installation of patios, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and retaining walls using Bluestone, Travertine, and other natural stone as well as Unilock paver products, clay and concrete pavers. Elected individuals will be responsible for the installation of landscape designs at client properties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Operate various tools and equipment, including: heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, tampers, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
• Manage the construction of patios, outdoor living spaces, walkways, fences, decks, beds, etc.
• Have the capability of running a construction job site on a daily basis.
• Work with the landscape designer to implement the design of the project.
• Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits or customer satisfaction issues.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis.
• Maintain/enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, shop/yard areas.
• Assist in other job-related duties including maintenance work, shop and yard maintenance, equipment maintenance.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact with crew leaders, co-workers, and occasionally customers.

• Experience with Unilock Pavers is a plus.
• Valid Drivers License
