Aggregate operators run truck and pups, transfer trucks, and day cab w/belly dumps to supply finished aggregate to WCP batch plants for use in Ready Mix operations.

Essential Function

  • Power Equipment Operation: Operate dump trucks, transfer truck, and potentially wheel loaders in the function of loading and unloading finished aggregates.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean truck, drive safely at ALL times both on interstates as well as surface streets, and on WCP properties.
  • Procedural Compliance: Follow company safety, communication and compliance procedures. Procedures include, but are not limited to, completion of required MSHA documentation, mine safety standards, incident reporting and appropriate use of personal protective equipment among other items. Adhere to all ODOT rules and regulations at all times.

Secondary Functions

  • Supplemental Duties: Depending on the credentials of the aggregate operator, the operator may be asked to assist with CDL truck driving or mixer operation.
  • Communication: Communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders including the aggregates supervisor, external independent truckers, and internal CDL drivers.
  • Attendance: Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

  • Previous power equipment operation experience
  • Previous experience working in an MSHA regulated environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated competence at working in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a safety-sensitive production environment

Job Conditions & Physical Demand

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work over 40 hours per week (overtime is frequently required during mining season)
  • Ability to work Saturdays and an occasional Sunday especially during peak times

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
