Millennium Hotels and Resorts is a global hospitality management company and real estate group with 125 hotels in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America. Our luxury hotel in the heart of Boston is looking for a Director of Human Resources to join our amazing Human Resources team.

The Director of Human Resources will direct and implement the Human Resources functions to achieve the goals of the Hotels’ mission with an emphasis on employee recruitment, development, and performance. Also responsible for legislature and HR compliance.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Corporate Regional Director of HR to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Employee relations including; social activities, recognition programs, communications programs, counseling and constant interaction with Hotel staff to facilitate employee engagement.
  • Personnel and Medical records administration in accordance with legal requirements and internal needs.
  • Benefits program administration in accordance with corporate initiatives.
  • Address performance concerns, counseling, disciplinary action, problem review system to maintain high-level performance and quality of work force; thorough investigation and documentation of grievances.
  • Development and implementation of compensation system for both salaried and hourly positions to ensure competitiveness in ability to attract, retain, and reward appropriate staff. Collaborate with the corporate office to ensure consistency within the Region.
  • Coordination of training and development initiatives including, management development, compliance, guest service and position specific.
  • Coordination of employee safety programs to involve safety committee, communications and training. Also responsible for Workers’ Compensation Administration.
  • Development of and adherence to Human Resources budget in accordance with Hotel budget.
  • Administration of annual performance reviews.
  • Management development and planning for all levels to aid retention and performance.
  • Administration of orientation program and process for all new employees including periodic follow-up.
  • Compliance with appropriate federal and state legislation and interaction with government agencies including NLRB, EEOC, and other state agencies.
  • Play an active role as a business partner and strategic planner with Hotel Management and Corporate Management.
  • Maintains regular attendance and is consistently on time.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by management.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES, WORK SKILLS, AND KNOWDLEGE REQUIRED:

  • Core skills in human capital management, employee evaluation, talent management, and strategic planning are essential for success in this role.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, benefits administration, and employee relations is crucial for effective human resources management.
  • Knowledge of premium skills such as FMLA, employment & labor law, and talent acquisition will be highly beneficial.
  • Experience in supervising, employee orientation, and performance management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant skills like OSHA, ADP Vantage is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Previous experience in Hotel Human Resources is a key requirement for this position.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Required - B.S./B.A. preferably in Human Resources or Hotel Administration Preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years Human Resources Director or Manager experience in a Hotel experience is a MUST.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
