Structural Steel/Pipe Fabrication Detailer Needed (Daingerfield, Texas)Seeking qualified individuals to fill multiple openings for on-site structural steel/pipe fabrication detailers. Job duties include preparation and production of shop drawings for fabrication of steel assemblies and structures. Detailer will work closely with shop personnel as needed to facilitate the fabrication process. We are seeking both entry-level and experienced drafters to fill these positions.Qualified candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD.Candidates must have good organizational skills and a working knowledge of computers.Candidates must have excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under constrained deadlines.

Detailer/Drafter Responsibilities

  • Create complete drawing sets, including submittal, fabrication, & field use drawings.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience working for a misc. metals or structural steel fabricator and(or) 3+ years’ experience working for a misc. metals or structural steel subcontract detailing firm
  • Able to read Architectural and Structural Construction drawings.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Well versed in using Autodesk AutoCAD in a production environment.
  • Possess and apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments.
  • Ability to develop and improve upon product knowledge.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task.
  • Able to problem solve to provide lowest cost, easiest fabricated/installed product while adhering to the contract documents and all applicable codes.
  • Strong organizational & communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
