Catholic Charities Maine Refugee and Immigration Services in Bangor has a full-time opening for a Case Management Specialist.

Definition: The Case Management Specialist helps resettle refugees and other eligible immigrants within a 100-mile service area in Maine. They provide reception & placement services for newly arriving refugees and/or social adjustment services for assigned clients, including refugees and other ORR-eligible populations. They administer federal funds responsibly to support initial resettlement for eligible refugees. They provide ongoing client education about their new community, household budgets, housing, eligible public benefits, English language learning, transportation and more. They refer clients to community partners who can continue to support ongoing resettlement needs. They provide culturally & linguistically appropriate case management and transportation to help clients become self-sufficient and integrate into their new communities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent life experience. Education outside of the US is considered.
  • Three (3) years minimum work experience in case management or a related field.
  • Multilingual skills (Arabic, Kinyarwanda, French, Swahili, Somali, Lingala, Portuguese, Ukrainian, and Haitian Creole) and experience working with immigrants is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local community resources is also preferred.

Salary: $45,472 – $54,174 annually. Actual starting salary may be higher or lower depending on experience and qualifications.
