BAT is seeking Aviation Electronics Technician III to perform routine inspections, repairs and alterations on a variety of aircraft.

We are looking for someone with exceptional character with experience on piston or jet aircraft. Citation and/or King Air experience is extremely helpful with experience in inspections. BAT offers competitive pay and outstanding benefits.
The Avionics Technician III is directly responsible to the Avionics Supervisor for the performance of the Aircraft Maintenance, Repair or Alteration.
1. Effectively perform all task outlined under Avionics Technician I & II as well as the following.
2. Perform avionics installations to include troubleshooting and repairs of newly installed and existing avionics and airframe electrical systems within assigned goal times.
3. Perform aircraft test flights and in-air troubleshooting of avionics components.
4. Demonstrates ability to inspect wire installations with no supervision.
5. Demonstrates ability to perform aircraft avionics ground checks with no supervision (Pre-install/Post install)
6. Provide training to avionics Tech I & II’s
7. Effectively lead major avionics projects and assigned techs to an on time and on goal hour completion.
8. Provide schedule updates to the Avionics Supervisor and/or General Manager to ensure master schedule is accurate.
9. Maintain a supervisor evaluated goal hour productivity rating of 90% or higher .
10. Demonstrate Thorough knowledge of FAA AC43.13-1B:
a. Chapter 7 Aircraft Hardware, Control Cables, and Turnbuckles
b. Chapter 10 Weight and Balance
11. Demonstrate General knowledge of FAA AC43.13-1B:
a. Chapter 9 Aircraft Systems and Components
12. Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Education and Experience
1. High school graduate or equivalency degree required. Associate or Bachelor Degree Preferred.
2. Thorough knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145 with Quality system experience preferred.
3. Minimum of three years avionics modifications experience required and or documented previous work experience fulfilling the primary duties.
