POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Avionics Technician Dept.: Avionics
Reports To: Avionics Supervisor Date: 4/18/2022
Position Summary
The Avionics Technician, under the administrative direction of the Avionics Supervisor, trouble shoots and repairs avionics equipment. The Avionics Technician also upgrades and adds equipment in accordance with FAA standards and customer requests and performs other duties in the Maintenance Department, as necessary.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluating existing equipment
- Recommending upgrades and modifications
- Analyzing compatibility and suitability of electronic devices
- Servicing existing electronic components
- Performing quality checks on completed work
- Troubleshooting electronic problems
- Monitoring supplies and materials to avoid shortages
- Assisting customers with selection of peripherals and monitoring devices
- Coordinating repair/modification activities with the Avionics Installer
- Responding to weekend pages within 20 minutes (weekend assignments are scheduled on a rotational basis)
Qualifications
Knowledge, Training, and Experience
- High School education, or equivalent
- Familiar with and follow the requirements of the Repair Station Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory circulars and manufacturer’s service bulletins.
- Above average grasp of electronic circuitry and ability to read and interpret electronic diagrams and drawings

- Ability to work independently and execute projects with limited supervision
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Good organizational skills and ability to get along with all associates
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

- Olathe, KS 66062: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
Experience:
- General Aviation Avionics Trouble Shooting: 2 years (Required)
- Garmin G3000/G5000: 1 year (Required)
