Aircraft Services Team
Come join the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services team and help ensure best in class service to our customers. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Aircraft Customization team, performing a variety of tasks such as aircraft installations, inspections, fabrication, and modification, all in accordance with applicable data and customer specifications.
What you’ll be doing as a Structures Mechanic
- Perform disassembly and reassembly of aircraft, scheduled inspections, and Alert Service Bulletins.
- Perform major and minor repairs and alterations to the aircraft structure, including sheet metal and composite repairs and fabrications.
- Fabricate mounting brackets, and measure, drill, and modify aircraft structures without causing damage to structure or underlying components.
- Document all work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
Candidates selected for this position will be offered a weekday (Monday-Thursday) shift or weekend shift (Friday-Sunday). Shift will be based on preference (if available) and business need.*

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to perform job duties, including basic measuring, drilling, and fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work from detailed documents, technical manuals, and blueprints.
What you need to be successful
- 0-2 years’ experience as an aircraft mechanic, or equivalent. Must include structures experience.
- Additional skills and experience related to job duties may qualify selected candidate for offer at a higher level/pay grade.
- High school diploma or GED.
- FAA Airframe Certificate required.
- Airframe & Powerplant is a plus.
- Maintenance experience on Bell commercial models is preferred, and/or Bell field maintenance courses.
- Knowledge of tooling required to complete tasks.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Must provide own tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
