Position – Aircraft Maintenance Technician

As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our clients' aircraft. Responsibilities
- Adhere to Velocity Maintenance Solution’s policies and procedures, as well as manufacturer's maintenance manuals and FAA regulations, to ensure compliance with assigned maintenance work scope.
- Identify and document maintenance discrepancies, taking prompt corrective actions as required.
- Notify the Lead Mechanic immediately of any issues related to parts, materials, workmanship, or airworthiness.
- Provide detailed reports on work progression and open items to be included in the shift turnover log.
- Properly tag and store aircraft components, parts, and panels.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and operational work environment for aircraft maintenance.
- Possess sufficient hand tools to perform maintenance duties.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Lead Mechanic.
- Delegate duties to qualified assistants, while maintaining overall responsibility as an Aircraft Mechanic.
Job Requirements
- Direct involvement with FAR 135 and/or 145 policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Ability to understand and interpret aircraft technical data.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Strong teamwork abilities to achieve established goals.
- Availability for domestic and occasional international travel as needed.
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off.
- Ability to travel occasionally, as required.
Physical Requirements
- Willingness to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods while performing repairs.
- Physical ability to perform climbing, stooping, stretching, walking, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Proficiency in operating basic hand tools and ground equipment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
Non-Physical Requirements
- Aptitude for learning and utilizing technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring, and illustrated parts manuals.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations.
- Competence in inputting and retrieving information from computers.
- Experience with Microsoft products, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Willingness to travel to various locations, regardless of weather conditions, for repair work.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience
- Valid and current Airframe and Powerplant License Required.
- Previous Corporate Aviation is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
